Back to Basics Revision Course

This programme is designed for newly qualified Audiologists returning to practise after extended leave, students wanting to change careers, or those who have not been able to offer the full range of Audiology services for a while. This course is an ideal opportunity to build your confidence and self-esteem and refresh your theoretical knowledge of core Audiological competencies, which include: looking at different ear pathologies, gold standard practise, masking, QuickSin, Tympanometry, Acoustic Reflexes, Impressions, and REM’s.

Lessons will include some of the following: discussing ear anatomy, physiology, and common ear conditions in relation to the procedures; being able to describe their own scope of practise for each procedure and recognise when to refer on; recognising any updates or changes in best practise guidance; comparing and contrasting equipment, principles, and contraindications for each procedure; and evaluate the relative clinical benefits of conducting these procedures.
