We are a specialist audiology tuition provider based in London. We will allow you to discover the scientific principles that underpin core principals in audiology, what audiology life will be like when you transition into clinical practice in the NHS or private or mix of both.

Year 1 Audiology

• Neurosensory anatomy and physiology of the ear
• Introduction to professional issues for audiologists and health care assistants
• Introduction to audiological instrumentation and how to carry out basic audiometry

Basic theoretical introduction to ear examination, Impressions, ear wax removal, Pure tone audiometry (and referring for masking), Tympanometry, basic hearing aid fine tuning, understanding hearing aid components, and servicing and repairs

Year 2 Audiology

Measurement and instrumentation, including otoscopy: theoretical knowledge on ear anatomy, physiology, and common ear conditions in relation to ear examination; describing the scope of practise for ear examination; recognising when to refer, compare, and contrast equipment, principles, and contraindications for this procedure; safely knowing the theory of how to conduct ear examination techniques based on current recognised professional best practise guidance; and reflecting on the areas of consent, documentation, and further ear care management.

• Introduction to general and common audiology disorders in clinical practise
• Audiological theory and practise
• Amplification and Audiological rehabilitation
• Introduction to paediatric audiology

Learn about hearing loss in children, hyperacusis, tinnitus, and various balance disorders.

Develop your clinical and communication skills and gold standard for history taking in practise.

Year 3 Audiology

• Diagnostic Audiology
• Living with hearing loss and leaflet explanation
• Effective communication with patients and professional colleagues
• Introduction to additional balance disorders
• Introduction to Auditory brain stem response (ABR)
• How to register with appropriate bodies and insurance companies

General Tuition

General audiology tuition is carried out throughout the year. For students requiring additional support, reinforcement of key concepts of topics from years 1, 2, and 3 and final assessment, bridging and closing any learning gaps, previous new topic introduction and help with revision, a confidence boost in areas students find difficult, going through questions and exam technique, and adopting different teaching strategies and learning styles as each individual student learns differently

Christmas Booster

For students requiring additional support to gain maximum confidence and success in areas of difficulty. These sessions provide adequate preparation before returning to university for gap year students, pre- and post-hospital placement students, examinations, catch-up revision, help with any learning gaps, misconceptions on topic areas in school addressed, past paper exam practise, and tests. We will provide your child with the confidence they need to master the key basic concepts and ensure that they can continue the school year with a firm foundation and confidence.

Once installed on your tablets, desktops, or laptops, just book, and Zoom links will be sent directly to you via the confirmation emails. We will send the Zoom invitations manually to your emails and WhatsApp to join. Please note that this booking service is for online tuitions delivered over Zoom.

However, we are well versed on all online platforms, including Skype and MS Teams, so if you would prefer to use these platforms, just message, email, or call and let us know. If you prefer to have Skype tuitions, you will need to download Skype accounts, which are free if you do not already have them. Our Skype username is Hafeezjeraj. Once installed and you initially try to find our Skype names (hafeezjeraj), our profiles will have pictures of HAF audiology and optometry tutors, so you will be able to recognise them, and the location will be London, Surrey. All you have to do is add us! We will then accept your invitations. In addition to this, one of the tools we will be using when delivering lessons is a digital online whiteboard, which you will be able to see as we share our screens.
